Heavy industry
Steelworks, foundries, coking plants, cement plants and mines are demanding environments: dust, high temperature, continuous plant operation. We carry out cleaning and anti-corrosion work on structures, overhaul of coal hoppers and towers, work on conveyors, installation of fall-protection systems, and roofing and sheet-metal work on large halls.

What makes the industry specific
Work in steelworks, coking plants, cement plants and mines is carried out while the plant is running. Dust, high temperature, sparks and sharp edges affect how ropes and equipment are protected, and plant operation affects the choice of dates and the order of work.
Organisation of work
Before starting, we agree with the plant among other things:
- induction training and the required authorisations,
- permits for hazardous work,
- shutdown windows and lockout of equipment in the work area,
- protection of ropes and airways against dust, heat and sparks,
- assessment of process gas hazards where relevant (e.g. carbon monoxide in a coking plant),
- a rescue plan that takes the plant’s own emergency services into account.
Why rope access
On large industrial sites, rope access can shorten preparation compared with scaffolding and limit disruption to plant operations. We decide whether it is the right choice after inspection.
